Is It Time For Daniel Levy To Leave Tottenham?
Tottenham Hotspur fans turned out in large numbers to protest against chairman Daniel Levy and the club’s ownership ahead of Sunday’s home fixture against Manchester United. Frustration among supporters has grown throughout a difficult winter, exacerbated by Spurs’ early exits from both the Carabao Cup and FA Cup within 72 hours. Fan group Change for Tottenham had pre-planned a protest, and approximately two thousand supporters marched down the High Road before gathering outside the stadium, calling for Levy to step down.
Banners were prominently displayed, with one targeting majority owners ENIC reading: ‘24 years, 16 managers, 1 trophy – Time for change.’ Another criticized Levy’s financial approach with the message: ‘Our Game Is About Glory, Levy’s Game is About Greed.’ Speaking ahead of the match, Change for Tottenham member Christina Zandes voiced the fans’ discontent, emphasizing that even a win against United would not change their desire for a new direction.

Tottenham’s long-standing trophy drought remains a sore point, with their last major silverware being the 2008 League Cup. Recent financial data has further fueled discontent, as Deloitte’s report showed Spurs generated £520 million in revenue last season but allocated just 42% to wages – the lowest among the world’s top 10 richest clubs.
Despite the protests, Tottenham secured a 1-0 victory over Manchester United thanks to James Maddison’s early goal. However, around 200 fans remained behind post-match to continue their calls for Levy’s departure. When asked about the protests, manager Ange Postecoglou focused on the strong in-stadium support, stating, “I thought the fans were great today… It was an important game for us.”
With frustrations mounting, the question remains – is it time for Levy to go?
