Martin Odegaard has become the first player in Premier League history to be substituted before half time in three consecutive starts, as he was brought off early against West Ham United on Saturday afternoon.
The Norwegian midfielder has had an injury ravaged start to the season, having been brought off in the 38th and 18th minute against Leeds and Nottingham Forest respectively.
Both of these times were due to shoulder discomfort, forcing Mikel Arteta into a change rather than anything performance related.

Having since been eased back into the team and on the bench last week against Newcastle, the club captain was given a first league start since departing against Forest.
However, a knee injury this time round saw him hobble off on the half hour mark, giving him the unwanted record in the history books.
Luckily for Arsenal, it hasn't affected them too much on the pitch, as they won 2-0 today and also took victory in those previous matches against Leeds and Forest.
