Birmingham City and Wrexham are interested in pursuing the signing of free agent Patrick Bamford, after the 31 year old was released by Leeds United on the 28th August by mutual consent, as per MOTLeedsNews, Link
Signing for Leeds in 2018, the 31 year old made 205 appearances for The Whites, achieving a respectable 60 goals and 20 assists across the Premier League and the Championship. In his time at the club, Bamford won the Championship twice, the first time being in the 2019/20 season and the second coming last season. The player also earned one England cap whilst playing for Leeds, starting in a 4-0 win against Andorra in 2021.

Since NFL Icon Tom Brady and his team took charge, Birmingham have made a statement of intent in their push back to English football's summit. Last season they stormed League One, finishing top by a staggering 19 points (111 in total). Their rise, however, was fuelled by heavy investment, headlined by a record-breaking £15 million move for Fulham's Jay Stansfield - the biggest transfer in League one history.

The 20-year-old attacker joins from Fulham for an undisclosed fee and has agreed terms on a seven-year contract.
This window, Birmingham have yet again made waves in the market, acquiring 9 players thus far. Currently, the Blues are unbeaten in the Championship, winning 2 out of their first 3 games.
With the Championship being a long and gruelling 46 game season, manager Chris Davies may be looking for an experienced veteran to help ease the pressure on talisman Jay Stansfield as the club aim to achieve back-to-back promotion.
The revolution at the world's oldest football club is plain for all to see, with Wrexham storming to three straight promotions. Now chasing a first-ever Premier League summit, they're throwing everything at the market.
Smart business has followed, landing proven Championship talent such as Kieffer Moore and Nathan Broadhead, while also pulling off a coup with Conor Coady from relegated Leicester City.

After losing their reliable talisman Paul Mullin to Wigan Athletic on a season long loan, the Red Dragons are looking to bolster their attack. Therefore, another ambitious and household name such as Patrick Bamford would absolutely fit the direction the club is aiming for.
A major factor behind Bamford's contract termination was his hefty wage bill, as The Whites could not justify astronomical pay for a player unlikely to feature. With new attacking options in Lucas Nmecha and Noah Okafor, keeping Bamford became as much a financial burden as a squad one.
Still, his proven quality and natural goalscoring ability make him a dream signing for either club chasing promotion.
