Crystal Palace have been hot in the running for a new face to bolster their wide areas ahead of the coming January transfer window.
The likes of Brennan Johnson and Roony Bardghji have been widely shared online as possible new options for The Eagles to bring on board this winter, with star attacker Ismaila Sarr out after suffering initial damage to his ankle ligaments, and now having been called into the Senegal squad for AFCON.
A new name, however, has been placed onto the pedestal of rumours over the last few hours in the form of a former wonderkid looking to kick his career to the next level.

The player in question is Manchester City starlet Oscar Bobb, who has remained on the fringes of Pep Guardiola's first-team squad over the course of this season so far.
The 22-year-old Norwegian made a bright start to his senior career, famously netting a 91st-minute comeback winner against Newcastle United on just his 4th Premier League appearance then aged 20.
That remains his only Premier League goal to date, with the starlet registering one assist from nine total appearances in the English top flight so far this term after a formative period spent damaged by a number of harsh injuries.
🚨 Manchester City winger Oscar Bobb is an alternative transfer target for Crystal Palace, should a move for Tottenham Hotspur’s Brennan Johnson fail to come to fruition.

According to The Daily Mail, a move to Crystal Palace represents the club securing a player in a position of need, as well as the opportunity for said player to re-find his feet in the Premier League for a high-flying side who can offer him more consistent minutes than is presently available at The Etihad.
The move is reportedly seen as an alternative option for Palace, who are placing a bigger emphasis on a move for wantaway Tottenham winger Brennan Johnson this winter. However, it remains to be seen whether a move for the Welshman will come to fruition, leading Palace to identifying failsafe options such as Bobb.
Oscar Bobb is a 22-year old right-winger hailing from Oslo in Norway. He spent his academy days learning his craft with local Norwegian sides Lyn and Valerenga. Portuguese side FC Porto attempted to sign him as a teenager back in 2016, but a CAS-fuelled court case over the logistics of the deal and documentation surrounding young player welfare meant he was ordered to return to Norway.
Three years later, aged 16, he would head to Manchester to sign up with Pep Guardiola's City side. He rose quickly through the ranks, spearheading the Manchester City Under-23's with a string of glittering displays and a mountain of assists that prompted his first few forrays into senior first-team football at the Etihad.

He made his Premier League bow in September 2023 as a late substitute for Phil Foden and scored his first goal in dramatic fashion with a 91st-minute winner against Newcastle United. His first senior goal in any sense came a month before then, scoring in the Champions League against Red Star in December 2023.
In August 2024, ahead of the start of the 24/25 campaign, Bobb suffered a fractured leg that required surgery. He had appeared and assisted a goal in City's 1-1 draw with Manchester United in the Community Shielf (that City went on to win on penalties) but the Norwegian talent was forced onto the sidelines until April 2025. He suffered another injury in May that kept him out until the latter days of the FIFA Club World Cup, and has been fit ever since - though now with a diminished squad role that Crystal Palace are considering leasing him out of.
