Unsurprisingly, Spurs once again find themselves at the heart of the ever-rotating transfer rumour mill, as they have been for much of the January transfer window.
Having sealed the signing of Conor Gallagher and Souza, they have also been eyeing up Bayern Munich’s Leon Goretzka and recently-released Chelsea man Raheem Sterling, as well as looking to ship off backup keeper Antonin Kinsky.

Now though, they are looking to ward off suitors in pursuit of 18-year-old Callum Olusesi, with Dutch, German and Italian outfits willing to lodge a bid for the central midfielder.
Olusesi’s name has been bandied around with rapidly increasing fervour in recent weeks, with the whole Premier League suddenly on notice over the Tottenham U21s midfielder.
The teenager has only played one senior game for Tottenham in his entire career, coming off the bench against Hoffenheim in the league phase of last year's Europa League, and aside from that, has very little to show for his efforts, exclusively playing for the Spurs youth teams instead of going out on a handful of loans.
Though he has precious little experience to show for this move, it has clearly turned him into an exceptionally talented player, indicating that loans are not always the best answer - with the likes of TSG Hoffenheim, PSV Eindhoven and Torino interested in prying the starlet away from London.
But the high interest in their young talent will have swayed Tottenham that he could be 10 times as valuable in the future, and the club are now actively refusing to sell, turning down two £6 million bids from PSV and Hoffenheim yesterday.
Spurs see a domestic loan as the next step in Olusesi’s development, one which will gain him first-team experience and will also help him understand and adapt to the English senior game in a bid to ready him for the Premier League level.
However, reports suggest that Olusesi wants to play abroad instead of in England, so perhaps a loan move to one of his pursuers could end up taking place.
£6M is a lot of money. Olusesi is talented but there’s no pathway to the first team for him so just pocket the profit and let him flourish instead of disrupting development like we usually do https://t.co/eN4lIkhCru

Either way, the calibre of interest in the teenager highlights just how highly he is thought of in the Spurs camp - over the years, the Tottenham academy has struggled to produce high-quality players who have the ability to play regularly for the Whites in the Premier League.
Callum Olusesi has the potential to change that.
