Football Park will frequently upload accumulator football tips, commonly referred to as an ACCA.
An ACCA is a type of bet where the user will form a combination of multiple individual bets into one larger bet. Therefore, significantly increasing the odds and payout. In order for the bet to win, every single aspect of the accumulator must be successful. If even one individual bet is incorrect, the entire accumulator won’t pay out, regardless of the number of successful bets.
An example of an accumulator is as follows:
Crystal Palace to beat Tottenham Hotspur 4/1 Everton to beat Brentford 2/1 Arsenal to beat Manchester City 4/1 Brighton & Hove Albion to beat Liverpool 6/1
For your stake to return and payout, all four of these results would need to be correct.
The beauty of an Acca is that the original stake that you put down, isn’t your stake as the bet progresses. For example, say the selections for the Acca above were the football accumulator tips you were using for the weekend, and your original stake was £10. Well, if the first game between Crystal Palace and Spurs resulted in a win for Palace, you would of course receive your payout of £50. However, this is where it gets interesting. That £50 you’ve just won on the Palace win now becomes your stake for the Everton vs Brentford game.
If Everton were to beat Brentford, your £50 now turns into a whopping £150 stake for the Arsenal vs Manchester City game. If Arsenal were to beat City, you’d return a magnificent £750 (£600 in winnings + your initial stake).
And now for the closer. A £750 stake on Brighton to beat Liverpool, resulting in a Brighton win would land you a staggering £5250 (£4500 in winnings + your £750 stake).
Pretty crazy right?
However, remember that if just one of these games doesn’t come through, the whole thing falls apart, leaving the punters with no return.
The odds for a football accumulator are calculated by multiplying all of the odds of the individual bets into one. For instance, a bookmaker would give you the odds of 525/1 for the acca we made above. That’s because 4/1 (5.0) x 2/1 (3.0) x 4/1 (5.0) x 6/1 (6.0) = 525/1 (525.0)
Let’s try the same process in another example. For instance, it could be Champions League night, and you want to place an accumulator on the 3 games tonight, with potential results. Let’s say you predict a draw of:
Barcelona to beat Paris Saint-Germain coming in at 3/1.
RB Leipzig to beat Real Real Madrid coming in at 10/1.
Arsenal to beat Inter Milan coming in at 2/1.
Therefore, the bookmaker would give you odds of 132/1 for all three of those results being correct. A £10 stake would return £1320.
To break things up, £10 on the Barcelona win would return £40. A £40 stake on the Leipzig win would return £440. And £440 on the Arsenal win would return a superb and very popular £1320.
But it doesn’t just stop there. An Acca isn’t just restricted to match results or big games. An Acca can feature a variety of different bets, including half-time results, fouls, bookings, corners, shots, shots on target, BTTS, first goalscorer, last goalscorer, under or over a total amount of goals, and much more, all combined into one.
However, it does get a little more complicated, but all for good reason.
You see there are different types of accumulators depending on how many bets you combine together to make that Acca.
An acca that combines two bets is called a ‘Double’, while three bets is called a ‘Treble’.
An Acca involving four bets is known as a ‘four-fold accumulator’. Whilst five is a ‘five-fold accumulator’, six is a ‘six-fold accumulator', seven is a ‘seven-fold accumulator’, and you guessed it, eight bets all in one is known as an ‘eight-fold accumulator’.
