After Manchester City faced Liverpool and we were treated to a masterclass in dribbling from Doku, it brought up the question of who the 10 best current dribblers in the league are.
As such, we will be looking into that and trying to answer that question of who the 10 best current dribblers are in the English top flight. The key stats that will be looked at are successful dribbles per 90, successful dribbles and the success percentage.
The Brazilian has been limited for minutes so far; however, when he has come on, he has shown just how dangerous he can be when he is running at defenders. The 18-year-old has already completed 14 dribbles this season and has a 43.8% success rate.
Considering his age as well as the fact that it’s his first season not only in England but also in Europe, the fact he manages 3.71 successful dribbles per 90 is nothing short of astonishing and definitely deserving of a place in the top 10 best dribblers in the Premier League. However, the lack of minutes is the reason why he can only find himself placed at 10th.

Another new signing enters the list, but this time, he is one we are already familiar with. The Brazilian's dribbling ability is just being cemented once again this season as he averages 2 dribbles per 90 after playing 685 minutes.
He has completed 15 successful dribbles, and while these stats might not seem anything special, his 53.6% dribble success just adds onto the fact that he is indeed one of the best dribblers in the league currently and deserves a spot on this list. If that wasn’t enough, he is in the 94th percentile for fouls won, winning a free kick on 19 occasions. This is more than enough to earn him ninth place.
Going to the other side of Manchester now, where the Dutch midfielder brought from AC Milan makes an entrance. This season from midfield, Reijnders has completed 12 dribbles so far, averaging 1.42 successful dribbles per 90. For a midfielder like him in a team like City, few would expect him to be a frequent dribbler.
However, this isn’t the main factor that has earned him a place on the list; the main factor comes from how high a percentage of his dribbles are successful. The 27-year-old has a 60% successful dribble success rate, and his ability to drive forward with the ball and beat people is one of the large factors for why City wanted him so much - so that they could add some more direct play from the middle.
Once again, we see a midfielder take a spot on this list; however, this time it’s a more defensive one. However, that has definitely not stopped Anderson from becoming a superb ball carrier. This season he has made 1.27 successful dribbles per 90 with a 52% success rate. This has led to 14 successful dribbles this season, the most in his position. The young Englishman has definitely shown that he can dribble and move while under pressure. This is one of the reasons why Tuchel trusts him so much in the middle for England.
The 21-year-old has been absolutely scintillating this season for Brighton, and he has put himself amongst the best dribblers in the league so far. Averaging 2.56 successful dribbles per 90, he places in the top 10th percentile for this metric.
Add onto this fact that he has completed 27 dribbles this season and done this with a 54.7% success rate, then you can understand just what a handful Premier League defenders are forced to face. He is absolutely one of the best dribblers in the league on current form, and once again Brighton have proved how good they are at bringing in exciting young players.

This might shock a lot of people - a fullback from Brentford to be in the top five on a dribbling list? You're having a laugh! However, his stats are very difficult to argue with. Kayode is averaging 1.88 successful dribbles per 90 with a 62.6% success rate. This only gets more impressive when you look at his total stats for the season. From right back, he has completed 20 dribbles across the campaign with an incredible 62.5% success rate. He has been exactly what Brentford want when driving with the ball and bringing them up the pitch; he deserves his spot at 5th among the tsunami of forwards and midfielders surrounding him on this list.
One of the best players so far this season, and to absolutely no one's surprise, Semenyo is an elite dribbler. He averages 2 successful dribbles per 90, and while his success rate isn’t as high as others, it’s what he does when dribbling that lands him so high. Often making something from nothing when he’s on the ball, Semenyo can create chances if even the narrowest opening is presented to him.
He has completed 21 dribbles while attempting the 5th most in the league. His direct ability, along with his speed and ability to use both feet makes him the perfect hybrid for dribbling efficiency.
Yet another summer signing has made the list, and once again he has proven that his ability to carry the ball and run at people is some of the best anywhere in the world.
Averaging 3.5 successful dribbles per 90 is absolutely incredible from the 25-year-old and has been a revelation for Spurs out on the wing, with most good things coming from his side of the pitch. He has attempted the most dribbles this season and, on top of that, has more than anyone else, chalking off 34 successful dribbles in 10 games. This alone gives him a place on the list, and the ability to get this many dribbles off just propelled him forward.
Lots of people would’ve expected an Everton player on the list; however, they probably expected Jack Grealish over the 25-year-old. But Ndiaye has been so important for Everton going forward, and he does it in style. While he is averaging 2.65 successful dribbles per 90, a lower figure than Kudus, his success rate is higher at 53% per 90.
When adding this to the fact that he has completed 27 dribbles this season for Everton with a 53% success rate, he has proven himself to be one of the most exciting and direct dribblers in England this season. He also isn't scared when one doesn't come off - his 4.9 dribble attempts per 90 is the 3rd highest currently in the league. His position at second is well deserved.
We end the list talking about the same person we started talking about. Who else could number one have been? Once again, a Belgian player is the best dribbler in England, and that game against Liverpool just highlighted how incredible he is when the ball is at his feet with a man to beat. He makes 5 successful dribbles per 90, more than any player in the league; add onto this his 59% success rate, and you find yourself the clear winner for best dribbler.
Then if that wasn’t enough to prove that the 23-year-old wasn’t the best, he, along with Kudus, has 34 successful dribbles this season in 11 games, all while keeping his 59% success rate. He is well and truly deserving of the title of best dribbler in the league.
Doku is so underrated. He doesn’t score much so people overlook him, but his work rate is crazy. Man was cruising past Liverpool’s defense like nothing. 😮💨🔥 pic.twitter.com/ao4708xHu6
