A hard-fought clash at Selhurst Park saw Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest share the spoils after a summer filled with drama between the two sides. With Forest arguably winning the battle off the pitch, it was much more even on it.
Palace struck first in the 37th minute when Ismaila Sarr finished off a neat passing move. Forest responded after the break, with Callum Hudson-Odoi levelling the score just before the hour mark, after a sensational assist from Dan Ndoye.
Forest pushed hardest late on—Igor Jesus rattled the post and Omari Hutchinson spurned two big chances—but the game ultimately ended 1–1. Both managers admitted the draw was fair, though Forest’s Nuno Espírito Santo again found himself fielding questions about his future amid ongoing boardroom intrigue.

It felt like a day of fresh starts at the Hill Dickinson Stadium. The Toffees started life at their new home with a convincing victory, and new loan signing Jack Grealish looked like the Grealish of old.
Grealish, making his home debut on loan from Manchester City, stole the show with two assists. He teed up Iliman Ndiaye for the historic first goal at the new ground in the 23rd minute, before setting up James Garner for Everton’s second early in the second half.
Jordan Pickford played his part too, saving a Danny Welbeck penalty to keep Brighton at bay. Grealish left to a standing ovation in stoppage time, the perfect home start for David Moyes' side.

Manchester United’s stuttering start to the season continued as they dropped points at Craven Cottage.
United went ahead when Lenny Yoro's header deflected in off Rodrigo Muniz, but their advantage lasted less than two minutes. Substitute Emile Smith Rowe equalised almost immediately, punishing United’s failure to consolidate their lead.
Earlier in the match Bruno Fernandes skied a penalty, with their star man unable to quell the recent suffering. Manager Rúben Amorim criticised his side’s defensive mindset after going ahead, suggesting their lack of ambition cost them the win.
24.1% - Ruben Amorim now has a Premier League win percentage of 24.1% (7 wins in 29 games), the exact same percentage as Neil Warnock (won 27 of 112 games), who was twice relegated from the Premier League. Worry. pic.twitter.com/4HfNUTncRv
