Portuguese Primeira Liga side Sporting have submitted a loan offer for Nottingham Forest winger Jota Silva as the summer transfer window comes towards it's final stages, according to Ekrem Konur.
The attacking flanks at Forest have taken on plenty of change over the course of the window, with Ramon Sosa and Anthony Elanga departing the club earlier on in the summer months, and Jota Silva has been linked with a move back to his native Portugal consistently throughout.
Now, the 26-year-old looks to be edging ever closer to the exit door of the City Ground, with Sporting sending a proposal to take the former Vitoria Guimaraes winger back to to the Primeira Liga on loan. However, Nottingham Forest would prefer a permanent exit for Silva, looking to recoup some of the €7m spent on him at the start of the 24/25 campaign.
Record Portugal also report that Sporting have had two previous bids rejected for Silva, but are expected to return in their efforts to bring the winger back to Portugal.
Jota Silva spent the majority of his maiden year in the Premier League as a super-sub option for Nuno Santo's side - the 26-year-old made 31 top-flight appearances last season, with only five of them coming as starting roles.
The winger had to contend with the talents of Anthony Elanga as part of his aim to break into the playing squad, displacing him temporarily during a dry spell for the Swede, but being unable to capitalise on the chance given to him.

Now, with the arrivals of James McAtee, Omari Hutchinson and Dan Ndoye, as well as the potential arrival of Strasbourg winger Dilane Bakwa, Jota Silva's time in the East Midlands may be coming to a close in the transfer window's final moments.
Sporting have submitted an offer to sign the energetic winger on loan, but Nottingham Forest would prefer a permanent departure for Silva, as they look to further balance their funds in the hope for more new arrivals.
Nottingham Forest's team, one that enjoyed such a remarkable campaign last year, has taken on plenty of change in the wider areas of their attack this season, and indeed since their return to the Premier League in 2022.
The big-money sale of Brennan Johnson allowed room for the arrivals of Chelsea and Manchester United offcuts Callum Hudson-Odoi and Anthony Elanga. After a year spent with just that duo available as out-and-out wingers in the side, the club then brought in Ramon Sosa and Jota Silva at the start of the 24/25 campaign.

However, this summer, Sosa and Elanga have already departed the club - the latter for a large sum by way of Newcastle United - and Silva is likely to be out of the exit before the window is through.
The club have already secured the arrivals of Dan Ndoye, Omari Hutchinson and James McAtee, who can all provide competition for the right-wing position (and elsewhere), and are still looking into a move for tricky Strasbourg star Dilane Bakwa.
