Sheffield United could be set to lose skipper Jack Robinson to a Championship rival.
The 31-year-old had already attracted the attention of Wrexham earlier this window, but the Hollywood-invested Welsh club chose to spend big on Callum Doyle from Manchester City instead.
Now, Watford look set to submit a bid for Robinson as the Blades have an interesting dilemma on their hands - lose their captain, or accept he may feature less this season.
🚨 Exc - Understand United could be presented with a decision over Jack Robinson's future ahead of Monday's deadline. Initial interest in the 31yo from a Championship rival.

Unsurprisingly, the main attribute the defender will bring to the Hornets should he move is his experience, plus the ability to lead from the back.
Initially a product of Liverpool's academy, Robinson has featured in the Premier League, Europa League and League Cup before for the Reds until his move to Queens Park Rangers for first-team football.
Since then, the 31-year-old has been an ever-present at QPR, Nottingham Forest and now Sheffield United and has racked up 261 EFL Championship appearances in the span of 12 seasons.
Currently, Watford's centre-backs of Mattie Pollock, James Abankwah, Kevin Keben and Max Alleyne are as young as 20 and no older than 23, meaning Robinson's knowhow could be a vital component in the development of these youthful and inexperienced options.
Sheffield United may feel they should sell their captain after five years with the club, having already brought the likes of Japhet Tanganga, Nils Zatterstrom, Tyler Bindon and Ben Godfrey to Brammal Lane this summer.
Furthermore, former Burnley defender Ben Mee could be offered a contract at the club after impressing on a trial period over pre-season, which would bring their centre-back options to six - far too competitive to satisfy all of them in terms of minutes.
Elsewhere, the Blades have offered Gustavo Hamer to Premier League clubs for an obligatory loan deal worth £15m-£20m and have announced the signing of Tahith Chong from Luton Town.
A further deal to sign Alex Matos from Chelsea, an academy midfielder who has only played a single minute for their first team back in 2023, is close to joining.
Alex Matos to Sheffield United on a permanent transfer is now close.
