Who is the GOAT of Each Premier League Club?

As everyone knowns every club has had that one player who has been head and shoulder above everyone else the club has had, however, some have serval who have done that. So today we will be looking into who are the players who are considered the GOAT at every club in the Premier League.

ArsenalThierry Henry

Starting with a club that has a long history with amazing players, however, there is one that stands out above the rest of them and that is there number 14 Henry. Widley considered not just Arsenal’s best ever player, but the best ever player to have played in the Premier League, so with that type of title, you can’t really disagree that his is the gunners GOAT and stands at the top of all their players.

Aston Villa – Paul McGrath

The man who was named the PFA player of the year back in 1993. The defender is widely considered as Villa’s greatest ever player being someone who lead the club to an era during the 1990s. He led to club from the back to 2 League Cup titles one in 1994 and anothe4r in 96 where he and Villa beat Manchester United and Leeds United. His name is still chanted around Villa Park, and he will be remembered as their GOAT for a long time.

Bournemouth – Steve Fletcher

Someone who lived and breathed for the Cherries being their all-time top appearance maker and all-time top goal scorer. Spending around 20 years at the club he was the captain and someone who loved the club and the club loved him. No matter what division Bournemouth was in he would be there helping them, someone who was loyal to his club beyond belief and will be remembered as a legend and the goat.

Brentford – Kevin O’Connor

Like Bournemouth O’Connor was someone who lived and breathed for his club being the record appearance holder and the club captain. Over multiple era’s one thing would stay the same, his love for the badge and he would be crucial in stabilising the club when they were is a difficult period, someone who will be remembered by Brentford fans and someone who will be the first name when talking about their GOATs.

Brighton – Bruno Saltor

Someone who was the captain and led the club by example when they went from a Championship team to a Premier League team. An intelligent player and someone who would have massive influence on the club both on and off the pitch, his influence to help them become a Prem club makes him one of the favourites for the position of Brighton’s GOAT.

Burnley - Jimmy Mcllroy

Someone many people might not have heard of as he was playing his game back in the late 1950s. However, his influence on the club will be remembered forever. He was one of the best and technically gifted player Burnley have ever had and someone who was vital in winning their first ever division title during the 1959-60 season. When someone does that and is considered as one of the best in Europe during their peak, often they will go down not just as a club legend but one of the GOATs of the club and he has done just that.

ChelseaFrank Lampard

Like Arsenal, Chelsea has many players who compete for this title with the other names being John Terry, Eden Hazard and Zola. However, Lampard just takes that step above them. After joining from West Ham his success would just come naturally, and it would end with him seeing 13 major titles such as Chelsea’s first ever Champions League where he would be captain. However, it wasn’t just his success that makes him the blues GOAT, the fact that he is the best goal scoring midfielder in Prem history and their all-time top goal scorer secure his name as the GOAT of Chelsea.

Crystal Palace – Ian Wright

Someone who didn’t spend much time at the London club, but his impact was massive. Wright was one of their most dangerous forwards that they have had and was pivotal to their rise to the top level of English football with his pace and finishing. His pure ability puts him right at the top of the players to have played for Palace.

Everton – Dixie Dean

Most likely the oldest player on this list, Dixie Dean was someone who created Everton’s early success and has had records at the club that have stood for almost 100 years and one that will more than likely never be broken. The forward is Everton’s all-time top scorer with 383 goals in 433 games an output that is already incredible than adding onto this his season where he netted 60 goals in just that season you can see why his name has gone down in the history books. To add onto this already historic ability, he spearheaded Everton to 2 league title and a FA Cup. Someone all Everton fans know the name of and definitely the GOAT of the club.

Fulham -Johnny Haynes

Yet another player who spent their entire career at the club and was captain for a long time. The play maker was someone who embodied Fulham and what the club stood for. He was one of the best talents England had during that era and never left the club even when he was at his peak picking loyalty over anything else, truly someone who loved the club and will be forever remembered by the club for being of their best.

Leeds United – Billy Bremner

Known for his leadership and relentless force, the midfielder captained Leeds during one of their best ever era’s winning 2 league titles and FA Cups. He truly embodied what Leeds was the grit and determination that they have within the club and around the club. He was the true embodiment of the club and will go down as their greatest of all time for that and the success he captained them through.

Liverpool – Steven Gerrard

One of the most iconic players to have ever played in England, while Gerrard might have not been able to bring in that first Premier League title, he did everything else including carrying the club to one of if not the single most iconic UCL final in history. He was truly someone who breathed for Liverpool and helped them even during their darkest period. A true captain and leader and someone who is widely considered the GOAT of Liverpool.

Manchester CityKevin De Bruyne

Possibly the hardest one to name as there have been so many elite players for the club in recent years, however, De Bruyne just edges them out. 10 years at the club and 422 appearances having won everything he could’ve with them including their first ever UCL. De Bruyne is considered as one of the Prems greatest midfielders and is arguably the best City one as well and his success and influence within the league and club, he has earned his place as the club GOAT.

Manchester United – Sir Bobby Charlton

Manchester United is one of the clubs that is very difficult to try and get one clear GOAT as they have had success for decades and decades. However, being one of the few one of their players to have won a Ballon D’or Charlton is very difficult to disagree with. He helped them to their first ever success in Europe as well as being their former all-time top scorer. It is very difficult to argue that he is their best and most influential player ever.

NewcastleAlan Shearer

The most lethal striker in Premier League history, as expected is his clubs GOAT. The all-time top goal scorer for his club and someone who is a local lad to the club. His leadership when he was captain and his ability helped them define an era and kept them competitive in the Premier League. While he never won a league with Newcastle, his ability and leadership at the club made him their greatest ever player.

Nottingham Forest – Stuart Pearce

Someone who spent his career at the club and was the captain of the club during their Premier League era. His ability at left back was incredible along with his ability from dead ball situations allowed him to truly excel as Forest came into their modern era. He was truly a fan favourite and someone who represented Foret’s core values.

Sunderland – Charlie Hurley

Another man who captained his club and was a wall for them. The defender was one of the best from his generation and was crowned the nickname of “the king of the backline” by his fans as a result of his ability and leadership at the back. His loyalty and ability endeared him to fans and allowed his name to be remembered as one of their greatest ever players and is often considered the greatest.

Tottenham Hotspur – Jimmy Greaves

One of England’s greatest ever strikers and someone who would bring his goal scoring to London being Spurs all-time top goal scorer with 266 goals at the club. To add onto this, he helped Spurs win their first ever league and cup success. His flair and ability in-front of goal allowed him to be crowned as one of if not Spurs greatest ever players.

West Ham – Bobby Moore

Another man from that 1966 World Cup success and England’s best ever defender. Moore was one of the greatest ever players to have played in England and led the Irons to a FA Cup victory as well as European Cup Winners’ Cup. He is still remembered at the club and is possibly the single easiest player to pick as the GOAT for their club as his ability legacy and success are so difficult to ever beat.

Wolves – Billy Wright

A defender who captained Wolves during their period of dominance in England and someone who set the bench mark for international players being the first person to make 100 caps for England. His leadership and loyalty to the club has gone down in history and he will forever been remembered as the man who captained and led Wolves to success.
