Premier League Club Enter the Race for Hull City Goalkeeper

Ivor Pandur continues to be a figure of speculation as the transfer window draws to a close with Premier League side West Ham now looking to secure the Croatian’s Signature.

Pandur has been linked with many clubs over the summer including some from Italy and reports that he was offered to Bundesliga outfit Werder Bremen, but nothing has arisen thus far.

But, with recent interest reportedly becoming more intense, Hull face a battle to keep a hold of their shot-stopper ahead of the Monday deadline.

The most plausible suitors now appear to be one of the English clubs interested, with Championship side Middlesbrough rivalling the East London club for Pandur’s services.

Pandur Wants to Stay

There are multiple reports stating that Pandur doesn’t actually want to leave the club this summer, despite all of the speculation surrounding his possible departure.

In fact, Hull are readying a new contract offer as they look to tie the 25-year-old to a new deal in an attempt to ward off potential suitors.

Pandur joined the club in 2023 from Fortuna Sittard and endeared himself to the Hull City faithful with some mega performances throughout last season.

As a result, Pandur is reportedly unsure whether a move away is the correct decision at this point of his career.

West Ham's interest has reared its head as a result of some early struggles for former Leicester City goalkeeper Mads Hermansen in the early part of the season, with The Hammers now looking to sign some competition for the Dane.

Hull's FFP Worries

Hull aren't in a particularly strong position despite the reported loyalty of Pandur, as the club are in a precarious FFP position which sees them on the brink of violating the regulations.

If the reported possible fee of around £5m is accurate, Hull will likely find it tough to turn that offer down, especially as they need to sell if they are to bring new blood into the squad.

Hull manager Sergej Jakirovic has publicly stated how difficult the back end of the window will be for his club, but has maintained that despite offers being received, Pandur wants to stay.
